About our Information and Resource Centre on HIV / AIDS OBF “The Way Home.”
The main goal with our center is to improve the quality of HIV / AIDS services that are provided by public organizations and governmental agencies working in the field of fighting HIV / AIDS and providing services to victims.
Our main tasks:
1. We provide technical, consultative, organizational assistance and informational support to the state, public organizations and initiative groups.
2. We support the professional development of employees of public institutions, public organizations and initiative groups working in the sphere of fighting HIV / AIDS.
3. We provide information on existing services, new and innovative approaches, working methods, best practices and experiences in fighting HIV / AIDS national and regional levels.
4. We have established an effective co-operation between NGOs, initiative groups, community groups and government agencies to improve the services for victims of HIV/AIDS.
The “Information and Resource Centre on HIV / AIDS OBF” was created in 2005. Today it has developed into a highly professional unit with excellent infrastructure and state of the art technology. Our staff has extensive experience in outreach, technical assistance, experience in conducting trainings, seminars, roundtables and other educational outreach activities.
Our HIV/AIDS Information center has developed programs and training modules for education of people working in the field. Our team also consists of database experts, trainers and consultants. We operate a library available to the public and publish the newspaper “Не Улетай!” which is a monthly publication with a circulation of more than 11.000 copies. The newspaper covers all aspects of our work and is distributed to people working in the field of HIV/AIDS prevention and services to HIV/AIDS victims.

Pavel is 34 years old, married with two sons.
“I started working with the foundation in 1999 as a volunteer and in 2000 I started to work as a social worker in a project to prevent HIV transmission among injecting drug users. In 2001 I started to work as a Project Manager and monitored trends in the HIV service.
Over the years I have worked in the foundation I have participated in more than 40 HIV/AIDS prevention related projects, half of which was as coordinator / supervisor.
From October 2008 to present – Manager of the Center for HIV / AIDS OBF “The Way Home.”
