Young soccer team from the “Way Home” Odessa Charity Foundation had the first training after the summer holidays.
The training of the “Brownie” team took place in the mini-soccer field of “Spartak” stadium in Odessa.
The first training was based on a warm-up principles. There were 12 children at the training, the children divided themselves into three teams and competed with each other.
«The participation matters, not the winning» — this well-known Olympic slogan has also become the strategy of the soccer activities of the “Way Home”. The trainer of the team noted that the training of the fall will be dedicated to strengthening the team physically. In November, the “Brownie” will play with the team from Yuzhny city on the Day of Praying for the orphans.
The “Brownie” soccer team was created within the “Way Home” Foundation for both – boys and girls – living in difficult life circumstances. The main goal of the team – the social adaptation of the children and youth living in crisis, by involving them in soccer. Soccer developes trust and respect, teamwork and the will. Soccer for us is about communication, friendship, trust and the ability to help each other. Soccer teaches the children to become authentic, open and honest.
