Guests from Pennsylvania visited OCF “The Way Home”

On Friday, January 22 pupils of OCF “The Way Home” was attended by guests – representatives of the Odessa Christian center “Good start” and a team of volunteers from Pennsylvania (USA).

The doors of the Foundation “Way Home” are opened for all who wants to help children and adolescents who finds themselves in difficult circumstances. So, on Friday, January 22 pupils were visited the by team of volunteers, who arrived to Odessa from Pennsylvania (USA).
Children who are undergoing rehabilitation at the children shelter “large family”, held for the guests a little excursion through children’s centers and have shown their rooms and told about their life, daily duties, occupations and hobbies. After the tour, students and guests of the Foundation gathered in the training room, where guests have told pupils of “The Way Home” about themselves and their mission in Odessa. After that, American guests spent with the guys a couple of interesting games and competitions. At the end of the meeting all the guests gifted children warm blankets and rugs to warm up during the cold winter.
Maxim Smikavchuk, a representative of the Christian Centre “Good start” explained the purpose of the visit of the guests from United States: “Our friends have arrived to Odessa to help children who are in difficult circumstances, as well as children from families of internally displaced persons from the war zone. They try to help all those who are in need and after knowing that in the “Way Home” are involved children of internally displaced persons and children of crisis families, they immediately wanted to visit the Foundation and to give children the attention they need. I want to believe that children were happy from this communication and given gifts. “
