It is essential for the children (and especially vulnerable children) to attain the skills of labor organization, team work, as well as the skills that will allow the children work in the future and make basic earnings. The Way Home is using the innovation approach for these children, involving them into the work of the agricultural venture.
The farm of the Way Home Foundation “Libental” together with a social dormitory for children and youth with the support of the Ursula Zindel-Hilti Foundation was established and has been operating in the Odessa region from 2016. Children and teens with difficulties in social adaptation, including the orphans from the regional boarding schools lives here. Apart from learning to be farmers, the children attain social skills, becoming more independent, learn to look at the labor of adults from the different angle, see the results of their own work.
Apart from this, they work healthy on a fresh air. The mentors and teachers of center teach them the basic knowledge of healthy food and the principles of ecology.
