The “Way Home” Charity Fund will lead a series of round tables in the three towns of the Odessa region
The three round tables took place in Odessa region. They were organized in frames of the project, leaded by the way home: “Teenagers out of attention: the improving of the access to the HIV-services among the youth of Ukraine”. The aim of the round–tables is to involve the leaders of local government to the project.
The first round-tables will take place on March, 22 in Belgorod-Dnestrovsk, March 26 – in Beryozovka, and on March 30 – In Limanskoye. Tatyana Pilipenko, the head of the project says that the mentioned towns were chosen, because they are the ones that have a very high level of HIV infected people, also among youth: “The HIV prevention among the youth is going on for quite long n Odessa city, but not that much in the regional towns. The representatives of the risk groups of people do not reach the information on the risks they may carry”.
The round tables will unite the project team and the representatives of the local administrations, as well as the local medical specialists.
The project “Teenagers out of attention: the improving of the access to the HIV-services among the youth of Ukraine” started on December 1, 2017. It aims to remove the barriers to the target groups to reach the HIV-services (testing, treatment and support to the youth, having a risky behavior as well as their sexual partners in the distant villages.
