The way Home is welcoming US Volunteers

September 14, 2016, The Foundation welcomed friends, the representatives of the Christian center “Dobriye Nachalo” (Odessa) and the team of the US volunteers.

It was not the first visit of the Center representatives to “The Way Home”: they have already been here in  January 2016, got acquainted with the children and the stuff of the center, played games with the children, brought gifts to them (blankets and mankets). Here is our next meeting, children showed the guests the “Big Family” shelter, where they stay, told them about their daily life there: activities, hobbies etc. After that the Center representatives told the children about themselves, their center in Odessa and their mission. Then everyone played competitive games and at the end of the visit the children were granted with presents: school supplies, fruits and sweets. Apart from the children’s part, the representatives of the Center talked to the administration of the “Big Family” center in order to find out the current needs of children and promised to provide the children with some supplies.

The doors of “The Way Home” foundation are always open to welcome anyone who wishes to help children and youth in difficult life situations as well as children from the IDP families (the families that escaped from the war territories of Ukraine).

It is so clear now that representatives of the Christian center “Dobroye Nachalo” and their American partners are always there to help the ones in need. On behalf of the administration and the children of “The Big Family” center and the whole “The Way Home” Foundation, we would like to express our huge gratitude to the Christian center for their support and care towards children.
