We run for the children!

The team of the specialists of the “Way Home” Fund took part in Odessa Half Marathon (running 5km) and collected 10,500 hrn to provide the school supplies for the children from crisis families, the clients of the Center of social adaptation “Big Familiy” – a part of the “Way Home” Foundation.

In a couple of days the children of the “Big Family” shelter will step into a new school year. Unfortunately, most of the parents of the children cannot afford all the school supplies for their child. Children need copybooks, pen and pencils, backpacks, and many other things for each child. For that reason, the “Way Home” organized the event “We Run for the Children!” within Odessa Half-Marathon, to unite the society around the social problems and to collect funds for the school supplies for the coming new school year.

It is the first time that the Fund is participating in such a big sport event of the city. The team run 5000 meters within the event. We would like to thank the Run Ukraine company for providing the Fund the possibility to take part in the marathon!

We would also like to thank all the people, who replied our call and joined the marathon! With the common efforts, we can provide the children the best supplies for school, as well as our warmest regards and support to the children of the Fund! Thank you, people!
