Working meeting
On May 18th in OCF “Way Home” was held a working meeting referring to a pilot project of USIAD «Reform of HIV services in action” that launched in Belgorod-Dniester city and Belgorod-Dniester region (Odessa oblast’) this year, at the beginning of April.
Let us remember that the main purpose of the project is to provide a sustainable model of operation of vital services to HIV risk groups and to people that live with HIV in Belgorod-Dniester city and Belgorod-Dniester region. Co-executor of this project is “Way Home” charity Foundation, Public Union of “Odessa Regional Collegium of Doctors” and “Veselka” charity foundation.
On this meeting was the project team with a full complement, on which Natalia Kitsenko, the project manager and director of the Department of HIV infection of OCF “Way Home”, presented this project in detail and told about problems of all specialists that are involved in it.
Irina Soroka, regional coordinator of USIAD project «Reform of HIV services in action”, thanked the working team for agreeing to work in this project, and added: “In this project, changes of Ukrainian health care system are incorporated. If we will show with our work, a good result, consequently in future our experience will be useful for other regions. I hope that together we can achieve the set tasks.”
The project, that will realizes the tasks mentioned above and unit into one single work the state structures and non-governmental organizations.
“This project is quite difficult”, as reminded to the audience, Alexander Postnov, the specialist of monitoring and project reporting: “This project is tremendously highly charged. We should not only rejoice the fact that the project “started”, but also to work actively towards its implementation.” We are faced a lot of problems that were not solved before in Ukraine. But we believe in our forces, we can do it!”
