Young soccer players of the “Way Home” won the tournament

May 26. 2018, the soccer team “Brownie” of the “Way Home” Fund took first place in the mini-tournament of soccer in Yuzhny town, which took place in frames of the “Sun Shines to Everyone” project, supported by the International migration organization and the Fund “The Island of Hope” (Yuzhny city).

The two other teams also took place in a competition: The team from Petroverovka settlement and Yuzhny city team of the “Island of Hope”.
The “Wau Home” team won all three games and took first place.

Stepan Koisa, the organizer of the competition noted: “We could atain the main goal of the competition – the children gained great experience and joy from the soccer games. Also, it is important, that we could avoid traumas.” The children shared their feelings.

Sergey, the captain of the team: «It is my first competition within this team as a captain. It was very interesting and also I am glad we could make a final goal and win!».
Danil, the goal keeper: «Winning the first game gave us strength and a feeling that we really can win».
Alina: «I have made three goals – and very happy with the result».
Roman: «The final game was a difficultie. Its long time since I was so worried. And I am very happy it was just the way we wanted to!».
